Pivotal Health is located in central Cleveland, a relaxed bayside community approximately 24 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD.
Established in 2007 by Dr Russell Hunter and Dr Meg Marsden, who have worked in the Redlands for more than 35 years, the practice is known for providing high-quality, personalised care. Its strong community reputation is reflected in patient recommendations remaining its largest source of referrals.
As part of the Cordium network, Pivotal Health provides registrars with a supportive learning environment and access to experienced supervisors, quarterly Registrar Seminars and a wider network of peers. The practice values collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement, with doctors, nurses, management and reception working together to place patients at the centre of their care.

Dr Daniel Edey
Dr Daniel Edey joined Pivotal Health in February 2026 and became Clinical Director and business partner the following month. Before entering general practice, he gained extensive hospital experience across respiratory medicine, cardiology, plastic surgery, emergency medicine and paediatric emergency medicine. His special interests include chronic disease management, mental health, general medicine and a broad range of in-clinic procedures.
Dr Russell Hunter
Dr Russell Hunter has worked as a GP in the Redlands for more than 35 years. A long-standing accredited GP training supervisor, he is passionate about mentoring the next generation of GPs. His special interests include skin cancer detection and management, skin surgery, vasectomies and family planning. He also has experience in paediatrics and geriatrics.
Dr Meg Marsden
Dr Meg Marsden has worked in the Cleveland area since 1986 and has strong ties to the local community. She values the holistic nature of general practice and supporting patients with both their physical health and overall wellbeing. Her thoughtful, whole-person approach provides registrars with valuable insight into building strong patient relationships and delivering compassionate, community-focused care.
