Warner Family Medical Practice has been a part of the Warner community for nearly 20 years. In an expanding area of the north side, the practice cares for many young families and provides exceptional care to its patients.
Our Women’s Health and Skin Cancer Clinics are both an integral part of the medical practice, with the insertions of IUD's and complex flaps being examples of some of the procedures provided. Being an actual health hub to the area, we have a dedicated procedure, treatment and CDM rooms, on-site pathology, and are co-located with the pharmacy.
Alumni Registrars:
- Dr Karyn Matterson joined our practice in 2021 as a second-year RAAF registrar on a part-time basis, she fellowed in mid-2021 and has since returned to the RAAF.
- Dr Shane Delisser joined Warner Family Medical Practice in 2022 as a full-time first-year registrar. He has recently joined one of our sister clinics, Racecourse Village Medical Centre.
- Dr Sudath Ihalawaththa joined the practice in early 2023 and will fellow in 2024.

GP Supervisors: Dr Srishti Dutta and Dr Roleen van der Merwe
Dr Srishti Dutta
Dr Srishti Dutta is well known in RACGP and Metro North PHN as a GP Liaison. She has a special interest in women’s health, contraception, and mental health. She has recently started undertaking more training in skin cancer medicine to add to the long repertoire of her qualifications. She is easy to find in the GPDU (GP Down Under) Facebook group, where she spends most of her spare time.
Dr Roleen van der Merwe
Dr Roleen van der Merwe originally graduated in medicine in South Africa, and later emigrated to Australia.
Dr Roleen joined Warner Family Practice in July 2014, taking the opportunity to merge the Strathpine Family Health and Mother and Baby Hub with Warner Family Medical Practice. Dr Roleen has previous experience working in paediatrics, a special interest in women’s health, and is qualified for the insertion and removal of Mirenas.
All of the other doctors at Warner Family Medical Practice have their special areas of interest and assist each other. They have an in-practice self-education program, where the doctors will present a topic to their colleagues regularly as a way of ongoing CPD for each other.
